Comprehensive hive management for businesses and private clients.

We offer businesses the opportunity to have their own beehives on their land through our fully managed package. We will provide you with a beekeeper who can advise and care for your bees, for you.
We believe this not only gives you a unique way of meeting your B-Corp, ESG and CSR goals by actively promoting pollinators, it also provides you with your own honey to give to clients, gift to employees, use for marketing, whatever you choose. 100% of the harvest is yours.
If your business is not practically able to host hives onsite then we also offer the ability to sponsor hives within our own apiary; and still give you your own honey harvest and opportunity for you to visit and get some hands-on experience of your bees.
We encourage your team to get involved as we believe there are great development and wellbeing experiences to learning about bees to learning about bees and beekeeping. Imagine the sense of achievement in caring for bees and being rewarded with your own jars of honey.

The service we offer to private clients is very similar to that offered to our business clients, but with the benefit of a much more personal approach. We still offer a fully managed beekeeping service with your own beekeeper, but with the option of one-to-one mentoring should you choose.
We would set-up and manage the beehives on your land, which is a great way of actively promoting pollinators and biodiversity in the environment, and of course, give you back 100% of the honey harvest in jars labelled to your own design.
If hosting hives on your land is not practical, then we also offer you the opportunity to sponsor your own hives in our own apiary. You would have the ability to visit your bees and try your hand at beekeeping, and still have your own honey to harvest at the end of the season.
Having your own bees is a phenomenal privilage. We think the environmental benefits speak for themselves, but we also think they give a unique and attractive focal point in your garden. And they reward you with your own natural and delicious honey.

Your beekeeper will visit and give recommendations as to ideal hive locations. We balance practical considerations such as access and public safety with the many environmental considerations that will ensure your bees have what they need to be healthy and productive.

There are many hive choices and our beekeeper will run you through the options. Most beekeepers in UK prefer to use the Modified National as it is simple and well-suited to our bees and our climate, but there are many variations to this hive arrangement. We can also provide painted, treated, and laser engraving to match your tastes. Hive costs can range from £180 right up to £1000, and we always recommend a minimum of two hives in each location.

Once the hives are installed and everything is ready, we will provide each hive with a nucleus colony of honey bees. A nucleus consists of six frames of workers with brood and a laying queen. Our preferred bee is the Buckfast variety as it is well-balanced given its gentle nature, high productivity and suitability to the UK climate.

We will share with you our detailed hive records, but like any good farmer, we check the bees are healthy, are free from pests and diseases, have plenty of room to rear their brood and store their nectar and pollen. We may need to do certain hive manipulations to prevent or control swarming behaviour, and we may need to manage pests with treatments if necessary. You are of course welcome to join in on the inspections and if you want to learn more about beekeeping then do enquire about our mentoring services.

We are deeply passionate about beekeeping and are always will to share the experience. We encourage interaction and involvement. We will always have a bee suit for you and are ready to get you into a hive during an inspection - if nothing else, it looks great on your Instagram! We will register your hives as good beekeeping practice, and can guide you through membership of your local beekeeping branch if you wish.

Why not become a beekeeper yourself, and have all the benefits of learning on your own hives. We offer a mentoring service, on top of our fully managed package, where additionally we can teach, guide and mentor you through to becoming fully-competent basic beekeeper. We recommend doing this over two seasons so that you gain confidence in safely and responsibly manage
ing your own apiary, all with the aim of replacing our fully managed beekeeper altogether.

We offer our taster sessions as a good way of introducing you to beekeeping. We recommend these sessions. Not only is it a great glimpse in to the world of the honey bee, but it gives you a real first-hand experience to see if keeping bees is for you. It can be a little daunting at first, but if you are calm, then so are the bees, and I promise you you will come away with a new found respect for these busy, gentle, fluffy, creatures!
Our taster sessions are two hours long and are practical, hands-on beekeeping experiences in a real hive, in one of our apiaries. We provide all the equipment you will need.
